Elevate Academy's residential settings are customized to fit the progressive needs of every student throughout their treatment journey. We recognize that a new student working on self-understanding and self-regulation needs a different approach than a student ready to apply and sharpen gained skills. As a result, we have established a comprehensive continuum of care that guarantees coaching and daily care within the living environment are perfectly attuned to each individual's current needs

Elevate students embark on their journey in a nurturing Foundations home, focusing on cultivating emotional stability and fundamental regulation skills. As they progress, they transition to a Passages home, where these skills are refined while gradually reintroducing real-life expectations into their daily routines. These two home-like environments offer a clear pathway for student development, motivating them with achievable short-term goals. Older students in a Passages home may also have the opportunity to earn Horizons privileges as part of their transitional practice

Students learn to identify internal states and patterns and learn how to regulate their own emotions and reactions. Students arrive at Elevate Academy seeking support after encountering substantial challenges and feeling overwhelmed in their home environments. We view their initial reactions as a natural limbic fight-or-flight response, and our top priority is to guide them in learning how to regain control over this instinctive reaction. Within Elevate Foundations, we embark on a journey to establish a safe and nurturing environment where your teen can rebuild a sense of security, self-awareness, and self-control. Our devoted Foundations coaches are committed to helping students identify their internal states and patterns, enabling them to recognize and regulate their emotions through real-time, in-the-moment skill-building experiences.

Setting Duration:  3-9 Months

Students focus on skill building and personal identity discovery. This combination of Regulation + Competency sets Elevate students up for lasting success. At Elevate Passages, we prioritize the journey of personal identity discovery and the enhancement of executive functioning skills. In this phase, students are actively encouraged to take on age-appropriate responsibilities, including managing their personal schedules, daily routines, hobbies, and electronic usage. Throughout this transformative process, students also continue to refine their foundational emotional regulation skills, which become increasingly crucial as they assume greater responsibilities. By the time they graduate from Elevate Passages, students are well-equipped to take ownership of their routines and possess the essential organizational skills necessary for leading fulfilling and healthy lives.

For a select group of exceptional students aged 16 and above, Horizons privileges, currently available from a Passages home, offer expanded privileges that open doors to enhanced community engagement, broader employment prospects, and increased independence. As these students confront age-appropriate responsibilities such as part-time employment, volunteer work, potential driver's education, or college courses, their capacity to regulate their emotions becomes pivotal. It is continuously put to the test and reinforced, ultimately enhancing their ability to apply these valuable skills to their life at home.
